CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Tuesday's scheduled game at the University of Houston has been postponed due to the heavy rains that inundated the Houston area the last two days.
The two teams have agreed to reschedule the game to next Wednesday, April 27, at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park. The meeting is the only scheduled clash between the Islanders and Cougars this season and the sixth in series history.
Tuesday's postponement is the fourth time a game has been washed out and the seventh time weather has altered a contest this season for the Islanders.
The Blue and Green will now get its week underway with a Wednesday night matchup against UTRGV at Chapman Field. First pitch on the Island is set for 6 p.m.
