CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – After two weeks off from competition, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf team returns to action this week at the UTRGV Invitational held at the McAllen Country Club. The home course of the Vaqueros plays at 5,880 yards at par 71.

In their last outing, the Islanders took seventh place in their lone home tournament of the year, the Islanders Classic. Dani Bergmann picked up her first career top-10 finish with seventh-place honors at 8-over for 54 holes. Vanessa Johnson shot 13-over to finish tied for 14th.
The Islanders will face five Southland Conference foes in Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, Lamar, Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston State at the Invitational. Hosts UTRGV, Wichita State and Louisiana-Monroe round out the Division I participants. Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M-International comprise the two Division II schools in the tournament.
Participants will tee it up for 18 holes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Tee times are set for 12 p.m. on Monday, and 8 a.m. for the final two days of competition.
