Box Score LAKE CHARLES, La. – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball team dropped the final contest of a three-game series at McNeese State on Saturday, falling to the Cowgirls by a score of 7-0.

The Cowgirls (19-6, 6-0) recorded their second straight weekend sweep in Southland Conference play, as Emily Vincent (6-2) faced the minimum in a no-hit performance Saturday. She walked one batter in the victory.
A&M-Corpus Christi (11-16, 1-5) was unable to get anything going offensively. Stephanie Flores (0-4) went the distance in the circle, allowing seven runs on seven hits. The Islanders committed one error in the defeat.
McNeese scored two runs on a pair of hits to get things started in the first, Taylor Goree drove in another with a two-out double in the third inning, and four more runs in the fourth gave the Cowgirls their 7-0 advantage.
ON DECK
The Islanders will return to action next weekend, hosting Nicholls in a three-game Southland Conference series. Friday's lone game is scheduled for 3 p.m., while Saturday's doubleheader is slated for noon and 2 p.m.
