CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Just as he did at Islander Invasion year after year while donning the Blue and Green, John Jordan won a dunk contest Saturday afternoon. This time it was the NBA D-League Dunk Contest. Jordan earned three perfect scores en route to the title at halftime of the NBA D-League All-Star Game in Toronto.

"I just wanted to come out, give the fans a good show and bring it home to Toronto," Jordan said. "We have great support out here, so I wanted to show the people what I can do."
Jordan, who finished his career with the Islanders after the 2014-15 season as the program's all-time leader in scoring, assists and steals, began his professional career with the Delaware 87ers earlier this year.
He was released by the 87ers, but quickly picked up by the Erie Bayhawks. Just recently, Jordan was traded by the Bayhawks to Raptors 905, an affiliate of the Toronto Raptors.
At just 5-foot-10, Jordan was – per usual – the shortest competitor at the dunk contest, but when asked what it was like to win in front of NBA Hall of Famer Isaiah Thomas Jordan remarked "It was great. I told him I had to do this for the little fellas."
