Yvette Franco continue their Senior Weekend celebrations with a pair of strikes.
"I think we were in a fog of emotion from Friday night's game," head coach
Shanna Caldwell said. "We just couldn't get going into the flow of the game. The second half, I think we did a much better job against a very solid team. It's tough when you've put yourself in a hole.
"The positives we will carry with us into next week's matches are there. Not giving up and scoring two good goals to end the game, we can build on that. Heads are up and we are focused on each day's preparation to continually get better."
The Bears (12-3-1, 7-0-1) tallied a trio of goals on either side of the halftime break.
A&M-Corpus Christi broke up the shutout in the 72nd minute. Redona sent a free kick from just inside the midfield line on net, catching the underside of the crossbar and bouncing over the line for her second career goal.

Yvette Franco added her third score of the season.
Shayla Spearman flew down the left side of the field and sent a low cross to the top of the six-yard box where Franco finished passed wrong-footed UCA goalkeeper Lauren Mercuri.

Kendall Moody split six saves with four and two stops, respectively.
The Islanders hit the road next week with a match at Lamar on Friday at 7 p.m., before a 1 p.m. kickoff at McNeese on Sunday.
