STEPHEN F. AUSTIN AT A GLANCE

The Ladyjacks are still trying to find their rhythm under first year head coach Mark Kellog. Early wins over SIU Edwardsville and Indiana State have been offset by losses to IUPUI and TCU.

In Southland Conference play, SFA started with an opening game win over McNeese, before dropping their next five contests. The Ladyjacks snapped their losing streak with a 70-63 win over Sam Houston State.

A trio of Ladyjacks average over 10 points per game, led by Taylor Ross with 15.6. The Islanders will need to take care of the basketball this weekend, as SFA has forced opponents into 19.6 giveaways per contest.

THE SERIES

• The Islanders and the Ladyjacks will meet for the 19th time, making the series tied for the second longest in Islanders history, behind the 22-game rivalry with Sam Houston State.

• A&M-Corpus Christi posted back-to-back wins in 2004 and 2005, but the Ladyjacks have had success as of late with 16 consecutive wins over the blue and green.

• Last season, SFA swept the Islanders, starting with a 64-55 victory in Nacogdoches. 27 Islanders turnovers hindered efforts despite shooting 45-percent from the field. In in the return leg of the series, 34-percent shooting by A&M-Corpus Christi led to a 74-62 loss.
