Golf 11th After Two Rounds At Memphis Women's Intercollegiate

Corpus Christi – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's golf team finished day one of the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate Golf Tournament in Memphis, Tenn., hosted by the University of Memphis at Ridgewood Country Club in 11th place, after posting a two-round score of 63-over, 631. Vanessa Johnson sits in 27th place after her two-round combined score of 13-over, 155.

Dani Bergmann carded the second-best combined score of the day for the Islanders with her 15-over, 157, which has her tied for 35th after a three-over second round. Ana Paredes is two shots behind Bergmann in 46th place, followed by Julia Dereniwsky, who is one shot behind, tied in 49th place. Anna Millet-Esteve in 80th place with her 27-over through two rounds.

Memphis' 21-over, 589, leads the tournament by 20 shots over second place Ole Miss. Madison Thomas of Memphis posted a combined three-over, 145, to top the field for the first day.

The Islanders will start round three tomorrow at 8:30 A.M. on holes 10, 11 and 12.
