CORPUS CHRISTI – Brittney Morse has been named the GoIslanders.com Student-Athlete of
the Week, presented by Pepsi.
Morse led the Islanders to their fifth Southland Conference series victory of the season with a pair of wins over Abilene Christian. She powered the Islanders' bats with a .583 batting average and went 7-for-12 with three doubles and three home runs to go along with 11 RBIs. Two of her home runs were grand slams and she recorded 19 total bases in four games. She also registered a .643 on-base percentage while slugging an impressive 1.583.
