CORPUS CHRISTI – Liz Carter has been named the GoIslanders.com Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Pepsi.
Carter, a sophomore, propelled the Islanders in the circle with three wins, including two against Stephen F. Austin in Southland Conference action. She recorded an impressive 0.37 ERA, and gave up just one run in three games while collecting 10 strikeouts in 19 innings.
