Championships at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
The Islanders men took ninth at the meet while the women finished 12th. The Stephen F. Austin men and women took first for both the men and women.
"After a pretty bad first day we competed well the second day. It was hard to recover after we had so few kids score and advance to the finals," said head coach Shawn Flanagan. "We had some near misses in several events, but I'm happy with the way we played the cards we were dealt. - It's not what we set out to do but it's refreshing to see the kids come out and not give up."
