CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball team welcomes Texas State to the American Bank Center Saturday night for a non-conference contest set to tip-off at 7 p.m.
Tickets for Saturday night's game are available by calling (361) 825-BALL or online at GoIslanders.com/tickets. Fans who donate a toy for Toys For Tots at the American Bank Center will receive a half priced ticket.
The contest will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel with commentary from Tom Franklin and Neal Raphael. TWC SportsChannel can be viewed in HD on channel 323 across the state, exclusively to Time Warner Cable customers.
The Islanders Digital Network will be carrying the game with an audio only stream, available on GoIslanders.com and the Islanders Front Row app. Voice of the Islanders Steven King and Yannis Koutroupis will be on the call.
The Islanders (5-2) come into Saturday's game on a four-game winning streak, having defeated St. Edward's, Furman, Elon and most recently Austin Peay. A&M-Corpus Christi has held each of its last four opponents to under 40 percent shooting from the field.
Texas State (3-1) comes to Corpus Christi having won its last two games, including a 76-53 victory over UTSA on Wednesday. The Bobcats' only loss was a 77-62 defeat at UTEP back on Nov. 21.
This will be the 15th meeting between A&M-Corpus Christi and Texas State, as the Islanders hold an 8-6 advantage in the all-time series. The last time these two programs met was in 2012 when the Bobcats came away with a 79-61 win in San Marcos.
