Box Score CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Rashawn Thomas and Bryce Douvier have been two of the Islanders' top scorers for a majority of the 2015-16 season, but had yet to be at their best in the same game. That changed on Sunday as the two combined for 51 points and 16 rebounds in an 80-74 victory over Cal Poly at the American Bank Center.

"What a game from our veteran front line guys," Head Coach Willis Wilson said after the game. "Rashawn, obviously, scoring a lot of points, and Bryce stepping up and getting back to where he's capable of playing from an offensive standpoint."
Thomas, the three-time reigning Southland Conference Player of the Week, scored 30 points for the third time this season, finishing with exactly 30 points, eight rebounds and two blocks to lead the Islanders to the victory.
Douvier, meanwhile, had scored in single digits in each of the last three games coming into Sunday's contest against the Mustangs. The senior forward came out firing and recorded his second best outing of the season, totaling 21 points and eight boards.
Both Islanders big men were successful getting to the free throw line. Thomas went 10-of-12 from the stripe, while Douvier was 13-of-15 on freebies. A&M-Corpus Christi hit a season-best 29 free throws in all, going 29-of-34 as a team for an 85.3 free throw percentage.
"I thought that was as good a college basketball game as we've been a part of this year," Wilson said. "Both teams executed their stuff and played their style of basketball. Once again we had to lean on our defense to pull us through, but I was really impressed and proud of our offensive execution."
JURICEK STEPS UP WITH EIGHT POINTS OFF THE BENCH
• Viktor Juricek tied a season high with eight points off the bench.
• The 6-foot-11 senior went 2-for-2 from beyond the arc and 3-for-3 overall.
• Juricek added one block and one steal in 12 minutes.
• He eventually fouled out, actively petitioning for his fifth foul when it could have been called on either him or Thomas.
ISLANDERS HOLD MUSTANGS UNDER 40 PERCENT FROM THE FIELD
For the seventh time this season, the Islanders held their opponent to under 40 percent shooting from the field, allowing only 39.7 percent to the Mustangs. Cal Poly came into Sunday's contest shooting 44.6 percent from the floor.
ALI STRONG WITH SIX ASSISTS AND THREE STEALS
• Hameed Ali finished with six assists and three steals in the victory, both game highs.
• The senior has now recorded at least four assists in nine of his last 10 games.
• He has also had at least three steals in four of the last six games.
• Ali is sixth all-time at A&M-Corpus Christi with 245 career assists and fourth with 135 career steals.
