Bergmann Shoots Career-Low for 54 Holes as Islanders Finish 14th

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's golf team endured rough weather during Day Three of the 38th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational. Heavy rain and 15 mph winds hampered play, as the Islanders ended the third round at 42-over, 330, leading to a final score of 84-over, 948, for the tournament and a 14th-place finish.

Dani Bergmann capped her lowest 54-hole total of her career with a 4-over, 76, to finish 10-over, 226, and a career-best 22nd place. Vanessa Johnson was 10-over for the final round to take 47th place and shoot 19-over, 235, for the tournament. Ana Paredes and Julia Dereniwsky both scored for the Islanders in the final round with scores of 12-over, 84, and 16-over 88, respectively.

Memphis' Leighann Cabush led all three rounds to claim the individual trophy with a 1-under, 315. Toledo took the team title with a 15-over, 879, five shots ahead of Memphis. Hosts Florida International finished in third at 27-over, 892.

The Pat Bradley Invitational marked the end of the fall season for the Islanders. Corpus Christi, Texas, will play host to the next event on the calendar for the Islanders with the Islanders Classic at the Corpus Christi Country Club on Feb. 22-23.
