CORPUS CHRISTI – The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi dance team competition showoff originally scheduled for Thursday, March 27, has been postponed until Thursday, April 3. The Islanders will preview its National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate Dance Championships routine at 7 p.m. in the Moody Fieldhouse.
The Islanders will be performing their high-energy contemporary jazz routine that features choreography that the Islanders say is outside of their comfort zone and nothing like they have performed before. The "take over" themed routine will feature 16 of the Islanders at nationals on April 9-13 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The showoff will also feature a solo performance by Da'ana Jackson and performances from the local dance community.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and admission is free.
