Marquesha Anderson-Sparks is a sophomore on the Texas A&M - Corpus Christi women's basketball team. She is in her first year with the Islanders after playing a year at Blinn Junior College in Brenham, Texas, for coach Jeff Jenkins. Anderson-Sparks led her team to an 18-13 record while beating three ranked teams and averaged 10 points per game.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Besides basketball, my hobbies are dancing and photo editing.
Q: Did you take your mother's and father's last names?
A: Yes, my mother's last name is Anderson and my father's last name is Sparks.
Q: Your nickname is Q. When and why did people start calling you that?
A: At Blinn during my first year of JUCO my name was too complicated for them, so they started to call me Q.
Q: Who is your favorite basketball player?
A: Kobe Bryant
Q: Communications is your major what do you want to do with your degree when you graduate?
A: I want to have my own talk show or do sports broadcasting.
Q: What quote would best describe you?
A: "Live every day like it's your last." I like it because people take their lives for granted. Tomorrow isn't promised.
Q: When did you start playing basketball?
A: I started playing in the seventh grade. My dad used to play and it runs in the family.
Q: Are you a big twitter fan? If so, who do you like to follow?
A: Yes. I like to follow Kevin Hart. He's hilarious.
Q: If you could have any super hero powers what would it be, and why?
A: To transport, so you could go where you want to and whenever.
Q: There's a rumor that you like dance, what type of dancing do you like? Is that something you would want to do further on after school?
A: I like to choreograph dances and so yes that is something I would want to do further on after school. I want to be a background dancer for Usher.
Q: Who do you look up to as a role model?
A: I would probably have to say my dad and Michael Jordan.

A: Becoming close with girls you don't know and being part of a team.

A: I'm the top player on dance control worldwide.
