Meet the New Islanders - Hameed Ali

Over the next month, GoIslanders.com will introduce you to the newest members of the Texas A&M – Corpus Christi men's basketball team. Today, meet Hameed Ali, a freshman out of Hayward, Calif.

Hayward is located just south of Oakland in Northern California. In his career playing for Sean Mackay at San Leandro High, the combo guard scored over 1,000 points. He was a two-time First Team All-League selection for his performance and was a team leader.

Here is a brief video interview with Hameed, whose name means "praiseworthy."
