The No. 70 Texas A&M - Corpus Christi
men's tennis team found out its NCAA destination on Tuesday
afternoon after watching the selection show on NCAA.com. The
Islanders will travel to Waco for the May 13-14 regional round of
the NCAA Championships at No. 5 Baylor.
In addition to Texas A&M - Corpus Christi
and host Baylor, No. 22 Texas Tech and No. 43 Rice will also be
competing in the regional draw. A total of 64 teams qualified for
the tournament with 16 regionals comprised of four teams each
playing on the first weekend on the tournament.
The 16 winners will then advance to the final
championship site in Palo Alto, Calif. from May 19-30 on the campus
of Stanford.
The Islanders met Baylor earlier in the season
with the Bears taking the dual match in Waco.
