Getting to Know: Volleyball's Logen Bourque
After starting all 30 matches during the 2010 season and having a team-high of 108 sets played at the setter position, Logen Bourque, has started off the 2011 season remarkably.
Bourque, a sophomore at Texas A&M- Corpus Christi, has plateaued her personal best of 50 assists a game for the second time this season, surpassing it with a career high of 57. She currently is team leader with 667 assists, which is good enough to break her in the leagues top 10 at number five.
Bourque is first up in a series of "Getting to Know" features for GoIslanders.com, a unique way to get to truly know your Islander athletes. Media Relations Intern Amy Carrizales will conduct the weekly in-depth feature on Islanders athletes.
