Austin - Kassandrea Son competed on Thursday night at the 2010
NCAA West Regional at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin. Son competed
in the 100-meter dash finishing with a time of 11.93 seconds.
Her time in the prelims was just off the qualifying time for the
finals. She'll compete Friday in the long jump looking to make the
cut for nationals.
"Kassandrea didn't start off the race like she usually does so
she played catch-up in the race and just missed making the finals,"
said track and field head coach Randy Bungard "Tomorrow is her
bread and butter event the long jump which she feels good
about."
Tomorrow Roger De La Cruz compete in the high jump in Austin,
