The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's and women's tennis teams
will travel to play Texas-Pan American on Wednesday in Edinburg.
The men's match will be a Southland affair as the Broncs men's team
is an associate member of the conference while the women's match
will be a non-conference match.
The men come into the match with a 7-12 overall record but a 1-0
mark in Southland matches. They are riding a 17-match conference
winning streak after going undefeated the last two seasons in
conference play. The women are 7-9 after falling last Saturday to
the undefeated and league leading Northwestern State in
Natchitoches, La.
The women are led into the match by Mirna Cicak with a 9-4
record at the No. 1 singles position and Doris Kuselj at the No. 2
spot with a record of 12-1. The sophomore Cicak lost her first
conference match of the season on Saturday while Kuselj remains
undefeated in the Southland as a freshman.
On the men's side, Dmitry Novikov leads the team at the No. 1
spot with a record of 7-5 while James Langford is 10-5 at the No. 2
singles position.
The matches are scheduled to begin at 1 PM. The women's match
will stop when the match is clinched for either team while the
men's match will be played out in its entirety due to it being a
Southland Conference match.
