ISLANDER INDOOR TRACK TEAM TO OPEN SEASON IN HOUSTON

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi track and field team opens the indoor portion of its season on Friday night when it travels to Houston for the Leonard Hilton Memorial Indoor Meet.

The meet is the first of five indoor meets for the Islanders including the Southland Conference Championship meet on Feb. 20-21. After this weekend the Islanders compete on Jan. 30 and Feb. 7 in Houston before a final tuneup for the Southland meet at Texas A&M.

The outdoor season begins with the Border Olympics on March 7.
