LAFAYETTE, La. – Louisiana-Lafayette took a 4-0 win
over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, winning four of five singles
matches played.
At the No. 4
position, Alexandra Valarezo took Mia Gordon to three sets, falling
7-5, 4-6, 6-3. She was the
only player to push her match to three sets. Nina Ciric fell 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 1
spot, while Alexandra Dyckman fell 6-5, 6-4 to Angela Dangond.
At No. 3
singles, Megan Harless fell to Briggitt Marcovich, 6-5, 6-2.
The Islanders
will be back in action Wednesday when they head to Beaumont to take
on Lamar.
