The Texas
A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team gets back into the
swing of things on Saturday night as they travel to take on
Texas-Pan American in a non-conference game in
Edinburg at 7 p.m.
The Islanders
are 2-5 on the season and have not played since a Dec. 2 game
against SMU in Dallas.
After some time
off for rest and for school obligations, the Islanders return to
the court looking to snap the current two game skid they are
on. Myeisha Myles comes
into the game scoring 11.6 points per game and grabbing 8.9
rebounds per game, both which lead the team. Myles is coming off her first career
double-double at SMU, where she 10 points and pulled down a
career-high 17 rebounds.
The Islanders
and Broncs last faced off on Feb. 2 of last season, with TAMUCC
coming out on top of a 60-57 decision. Sarah Davidson scored 10 points in
that game and is the top returning scorer from that game for the
Islanders.
The game will
be broadcast on 1150 AM KCCT with the call by Matt Hicks.
After the
Islanders take on the Broncs, they will be seeing significant time
on the road, playing in back-to-back tournaments at the UNF Lady
Osprey Classic and the Georgia State Invitational.
