Hamilton Leaves Islander Men's Basketball Program

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEX. --- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Brian Hamilton (Missouri City, Tex.) won't return to the Islander men's basketball program, it was announced Tuesday morning.

Hamilton, who would have been a junior, has elected to transfer to another school.

As a sophomore, the 6-4 forward tallied 12.2 points and a team-leading 6.9 rebounds per game. Hamilton also led the squad in with 56 steals, which tied the school's single-season record.

The Islanders will return three starters and nine lettermen from last year's squad.
