So this season has come to an end and we are heading home for the holidays. Thanksgiving is up first! What are your special traditions?? We are spending thanksgiving with my in-laws in Kingsville, Texas. I am pretty excited since it will be a new tradition for my husband and I. Right now Coach Flanagan has us on a 10-day resting break. We start practice for track on Monday and we practice until finals then we run on our own.
This season was full of great memories! We had a lot more fun than what I expected with a whole new group this year. Our team gets along great and we love our coach (sometimes) just kidding. ALWAYS!!! We found out we are getting a lot of new Adidas equipment so life is good! Now it's time for me to say see you later! I'm very proud of everything all the Islanders had to offer this fall.
Volleyball had the best season they've had in a couple years … our men's cross country team did great and our women's team did okay but we want to be better and we are getting better every day! Now it's time to start a new year, season, and a new book to write down all of our great memories we make wearing our Islanders jerseys.
I am very proud of being an Islander and all of the student-athletes who work hard to be successful every day. I hope we have made you guys proud of us too! Inside an athlete there is also a student here at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi. Congratulations Islanders for finishing a great season!
Now it's time to eat a lot of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, bread and everything for a whole week!!! Remember everything you've accomplished this fall and try to make it better next fall. I will be back to fill you guys in with cross country, but for now see ya later!
Happy Holidays Islanders Fans!
"Keep your Islander pride, and don't forget to stride," with yours truly!
