The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis team suffered another setback on Sunday, falling 4-1 to the UT Arlington Lady Mavs at the Corpus Christi Country Club.

The Islanders are now 6-7 on the season and 2-4 in Southland Conference matches. UTA improved to 3-3 on the year and 3-0 in the Southland.

In singles, the lone win came from LeAnne Mascall, winning 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 3 position. At No. 1 singles, Bianca Discordia lost 6-2, 6-4, Adrienne Kovacs lost 6-2, 6-4 at the No. 2 spot, Nadia Filmalter lost 7-5, 6-3 at No. 4 singles and Megan Harless fell by a 6-1, 6-2 final at the No. 5 position.

The dual match was stopped due to inclement weather and the threat of rain once it was clinched in favor of the Lady Mavs.

TAMUCC is back in action next on Wednesday against Texas-Pan American at 1 PM. The match will be held at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
