Islanders Golf Wraps Fall Season at Pat Bradley Invitational

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Vanessa Johnson shot a third-round 75 to finish in 15th place with a three-round 218 (76-67-75) at the 36th Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi shot a 314 as a team in the final round to wrap up the Invitational in 16th place.

"This was a tough way for us to end our fall season," head coach Carol Blackmar said. "I know we are much better players than this, but we made some mental mistakes, and with a field of this caliber you can't give shots away and be successful. As we enter the offseason we are looking forward to working on these areas and starting fresh in February at home with the Islanders Classic."

Missouri overcame a seven-stroke deficit entering the final round to surge to the team title, shooting a 286 to finish with an 873 for the Invitational. Daytona State shot 294 on Tuesday to finish a stroke behind at 874 in second place, while host Florida International had a 291 in the final round to place third at 876. Maryland (878) and Memphis (892) rounded out the top five teams.

FIU's Coralia Arias took medalist honors by delivering a 69 on Tuesday to post a 210 (69-72-69) at 6-under for the event. Daytona State's So Young Hwang (71-69-71—211) finished a stroke back in second, while Bradley's Danielle Lemek (71-70-71—212) and Maryland's Heidi Baek (71-71-70—212) tied for third.

Senior Lindsay Biehler shot a 78 on Tuesday to finish with a three-round 235, while freshman Ana Paredes had an 83 to post a 238 for the event. Senior Krista Fenniak delivered a 78 in the final round to finish with a 247, while freshman Claudia Galindo added an 83 for a three-round 252.
