CORPUS CHRISTI – The Texas A&M - Corpus Christi women's basketball coaching staff along with Dr. Trent Hill, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, accepted the #Chillin4Charity Challenge today on University Beach. Members of the 2014-15 women's basketball team doused the coaching staff and Dr. Trent Hill with ice water coolers to help raise funds for the Kay Yow Foundation.
Coaches across the nation have been taking the plunge and passing on the challenge to others. The rules are if a head coach is called out they have 48 hours to complete the challenge. If they don't, they owe the Kay Yow Foundation $250, and if they answer the challenge, the one who challenged them will owe the Kay Yow Foundation $50. The Kay Yow Foundation has raised more than $8 million for research on women's cancers since it was started in 2007.
Dr. Trent Hill presented his challenge to Stephen F. Austin President Dr. Baker Pattillo.
