What's up Islander fans?!
How are you all doing? I just thought I would write to you with random information.
Game Update: vs Texas State and vs. Lamar
We lost. The end. No words can express how I felt about these games so there is no need to say anything more about it, except, if you came on Wednesday, thank you for the support!
Well this past week, a few of my teammates and I have decided to put together a singing group! Verne'qua Taylor (NeNe), Trish Amboree, Alisa Roberts (Lis), and I have decided to call ourselves: …Destiny's Child Part II. Each of us has talents that expand outside of basketball. We were practicing on our vocals one day after our Chemistry class, and we actually sound pretty good. We sang "Count on Me" by Whitney Houston ft. CeCe Winans. One day I'll post a video of us so you can be the judge, who knows, maybe one day we will be a YouTube overnight sensation and you all can say you knew us! Keep a look out for us in the upcoming weeks ;)
#Shoutout to my bestf DaDa, Radio Girl Hannah, and our Graduate Assistant Toya for their Women's Intramural Team 40-point win on Tuesday night in the Dugan Wellness Center. Also for their Co-ed Intramural Team's five-point victory Wednesday night. They are doing pretty good if you ask me! Congratulations!
So on Tuesday I watched the movie "Courageous." That movie was really powerful, it makes you be thankful for the things that you have and to not take what we have now for granted. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend everyone rent it on RedBox for $1.33! It is worth it! [Side Note: it's more of a spiritual movie than anything else]. Oh yea, and if you are a twilight fan… "Breaking Dawn Part I" is now available on blue ray and DVD. I have my copy!!! Lol. It is a good movie!
Well just giving you all some random information about your Islanders!
Hope you all have a wonderful day today and continue to have a FANTASTIC weekend.
