Sarah Pauly to Pitch Thursday at Whataburger Field in the NPF Coastal Classic
CORPUS CHRISTI – Former Islanders pitcher and current Islanders pitching coach Sarah Pauly is set to return to the circle with her USSSA Pride National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) team Thursday, June 13, at the NPF Coastal Classic at Whataburger Field. The Pride will face the Arkon Races for the second straight year for a four-game series starting on Thursday, June 13.
"I'm excited to be able to come back to my college town and play in front of the same fans who have been supporting me for years," Pauly said.
Pauly, a nine-year NPF veteran, tallied an 8-2 record last season with the Pride and struck out 51 batters in 61.2 innings. She was named to the Combat All-NPF Team.
The Phoenix native, returned to Whataburger Field with the Pride in the Hurricane Alley Waterpark Coastal Classic last season and helped the Pride seal a 3-2 victory. Pauly fanned a total of six batters in seven innings of work in the third game of the four-game series.
