The Islanders got on board first in the opening frame. Sandy Schumann started things off with two outs with a walk and Vead reached base on an error. Carroll followed with an RBI single up the middle to plate Schumann to give the Islanders a 1-0 lead. Perez tallied the Islanders second hit of the game with a rip to second before Mckinney popped out to left field to end the inning.

Galloway recorded the Islanders third hit of the game with a single to right field and Vead collected one in the third to right field. Perez led the fourth inning with a single through the middle and Heather Harrill garnered her second stolen base of the season as she pinch ran for Perez.

Schumann moved the runners to second and third on a sacrifice bunt and Carroll followed with a walk with two outs to load the bases. However, the Ladyjacks were able to pull out of the jam with an out at third.

The Islanders left two on in the sixth after McKinney blasted her second double of the season to right center. She recorded her first stolen base of the season before Galloway reached on a walk. SFA left both runners stranded as they escaped the inning with a strikeout, a pop fly and a ground out.
