Laurent Montoisy is in his first season helping out the Islanders program after finishing up his playing days following the 2011 season. Montoisy was a part of three NCAA tournament teams during his time with the Islanders.

He was named the Southland Conferene Player of the Year after the 2011 season for leading his team to their fourth-straight Southland Conference Championship and was undefeated against all No. 1 singles players in conference. Montoisy was also named Freshman of the Year following his first season with the Islanders, and finished his career at 38-8 overall, including 17-2 against opponents from the Southland Conference.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Montoisy was twice selected a Southland Conference All-Academic team member for excelling in the classroom as well.
