Men’s Tennis Set For Final Two Home Matches of Season

The Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Men's Tennis team will play its final two matches of the 2013 regular season this week, with Lamar and Texas – Pan American coming to the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center to close out the schedule.

Lamar comes to Corpus Christi on Thursday, April 18 at 2 p.m. for the second to last match of the year. A win for the Islanders will mean the team clinches its sixth straight Southland Conference Championship and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Southland Conference Tournament.

On Saturday, the Islanders will face UTPA in the final regular season home match of the season. The team will also be recognizing seniors Andrew Maingot and Gergo Weidinger in the final matches of their careers at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.

If the team wins both matches, it will be the outright conference champion and have another undefeated Southland Conference season.

Live updates for the match on Thursday will be available by following the team on Twitter (@IslandersTennis).
