Men’s Tennis Faces Tough Task Against Nationally Ranked TCU

The Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Men's Tennis team will be on the road once again on Wednesday evening for a 5:30 p.m. match against the No. 67 TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth.

The Islanders are coming off of two matches against tough opponents in New Mexico, and will continue the long start away from home to begin the 2013 season. The first home match for the men's team will not come until Feb. 14 against nationally ranked Nevada at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.

TCU and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi have split the last four match by a 2-2 tally, with the Horned Frogs taking the match last year, while the Islanders won two seasons ago when Islander legend Laurent Montoisy came back from 0-3 in the third to clinch the deciding match.

The Horned Frogs recently suffered a close loss to No. 20 Michigan, having had a chance to serve for the match before falling 4-3 against the Wolverines.

The teams will square off at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center on the TCU campus.
