The Texas A&M – Corpus Christi men's tennis team will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon in Edinburg, Texas for a 1 p.m. match against Texas – Pan American. The match will be a Southland Conference contest between the two schools at the Orville Cox Tennis Center on the UTPA campus.
The Islanders are currently 8-9 on the year overall, and hold a 1-0 mark in Southland matches. The Broncs are even at 7-7 this season, and are 1-1 in league contests.
The Islanders will put their 28-1 mark in Southland Conference contests since 2008 up against the team that dealt the one loss to them during that span. 12 matches ago, UTPA beat Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, and since then the Islanders have won 11 straight matches.
That eleventh match came last week against UT Arlington, with Texas A&M – Corpus Christi gutting out a tough 4-3 win on the road.
Last time UTPA faced the Islanders, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi won 6-1 during the 2010 season in Corpus Christi.
