No. 62 Islanders men's tennis hosts Louisiana-Lafayette in home opener

The No. 62 Texas A&M - Corpus Christi men's tennis team will play their first home match of the season on Sunday as they play host to Louisiana-Lafayette in the afternoon. The dual match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at the Corpus Christi Country Club.

The Islanders are 2-4 on the year with wins over two ranked teams in Utah State and TCU, who was No. 49 in the nation when Texas A&M - Corpus Christi beat them by a 4-3 final.

The Sunday afternoon match between the two teams will be the first time the Islanders have played since that win over the Horned Frogs on Jan. 29 in Fort Worth.

ULL comes into the match at 0-4 on the year after playing four teams that are ranked in the top 50 of the nation. Most recently, the Ragin Cajuns lost 7-0 to the No. 48 Rice Owls in Houston.

Admission to the match is free to all fans who want to come out and support the nationally-ranked tennis team on their home court.
