Kocher, King Named to NABC Honors Court
Senior James King and redshirt sophomore Jake Kocher of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men’s basketball team were honored for their academics by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, it was announced today. Kocher and King both earned spots on the NABC Honors Court for the 2013-14 season.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi placed 84 student-athletes on the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll during the spring semester, the league announced today. It marked an all-time high for the Islanders, who saw 18 student-athletes earn a perfect 4.0 GPA in their spring competitive seasons.

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men’s basketball team has added South Alabama transfer Viktor Juricek (Prievidza, Slovakia) to its 2014-15 roster. The 6-foot-11 Juricek, who will have to sit out the 2014-15 season due to NCAA transfer rules, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining when he arrives at the Island University.

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi basketball team has added another player for the 2014-15 season, signing Ihab (Ehab) Amin (Alexandria, Egypt/St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy) to a National Letter of Intent. Amin is a 6-foot-3 point guard who has played with the Egyptian National Team.
