Islander Turned Globetrotter Bull Bullard to Perform at Dugan Wellness Center

CORPUS CHRISTI – Former Texas A&M – Corpus Christi men's basketball player and current Harlem Globetrotter Will "Bull" Bullard will return to his alma mater on Wednesday, Aug. 22 for a special event at the Dugan Wellness Center at 6 p.m. Bullard will perform some of his tricks and address the audience about his days at the Island University as part of the appearance.

The free event is open to the public, and will also feature giveaways, including a raffle for an autographed basketball from Bullard. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Members of the men's basketball team will also be on hand to meet fans and talk about the upcoming season.

"Bull" joined the Harlem Globetrotters after spending two years with the Islanders from 2006-08. The athletic guard was invited to participate in the College Slam Dunk Contest at the Final Four in 2008, earning him a spot with the famous barnstorming team. He also earned notoriety earlier this summer for his performance on the NBC show "American Ninja Warrior," where he advanced out of the Southeast Regional Semifinals.

Bullard played two seasons at the Island University after transferring from Richland Community College. The Detroit native played sparingly in his first year with the Islanders, but developed into a strong contributor as a senior, appearing in 23 games and making 12 starts, all in conference play. His best game came against Central Arkansas, when he poured in 18 points to lead the team to a 76-69 victory.
