Top Performance #9: Terence Jones Scores Career-High 33 in Islanders Win Over Texas State
On the night of Jan. 25, Terence Jones left the American Bank Center feeling more than satisfied. He had helped his team not only to victory, but he also made a name for himself in Islanders history.
Jones scored a career-high 33 points to lead the Islanders to a 74-68 win over the Texas State Bobcats. Jones' 33 were the most by an Islanders player since Kevin Palmer netted 35 against UT Arlington on March 12, 2009.
At the end of the game, he finished 9-of-18 shooting with a 13-of-14 performance at the line.
The Baltimore native played in all 30 games starting 29 of them throughout the season. He was named Honorable Mention All-Southland after averaging 13.7 points, the sixth-highest total in the league.
Jones buried 68 threes on the year, the third-highest total in program history. He also finished the season with a 72.6 shooting percentage from the free-throw line. The junior grabbed 89 rebounds and dished out 55 assists to go along with 22 steals.
