Southland Conference Baseball Tournament Tickets Go on Sale Tuesday

FRISCO, Texas ? All-session tickets for the 2012 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament go on sale Tuesday. For the second consecutive season, the tournament will be hosted by Texas State at Bobcat Ballpark in San Marcos on May 23-26.

The best value is the all-session reserved pass for $50, which allows entry into all 15 possible games of the tournament. The youth all-session reserved pass and the all-session general admission pass are $45 each.

Tickets will also be available for each day of the tournament for $15, while a single-day general admission ticket is $12, the same price as single-day youth reserved ticket. All single-day tickets will go on sale April 24.

The double-elimination tournament will include the conference?s top eight teams. Each team will be placed into two brackets with the two bracket winners meeting in the winner-take-all championship game Saturday, May 26, at either 1 p.m. or 5 p.m. The winner of the tournament will receive the Southland Conference?s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

There will be a minimum of 13 games played during the four-day tournament. Game times the first three days of the tournament are 9 a.m., noon, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. A minimum of one game and up to three games could be played on championship Saturday.

# If only one of the two early games is necessary on Saturday, it will be played at 1 p.m., with the Championship Game starting at 5 p.m.;

+ If both bracket winners are undefeated, the championship game will be played on Saturday at 1 p.m.

 

NOTE: There will be a minimum of 45 minutes between games on Wednesday and 30 minutes the remainder of the week with no game starting prior to its scheduled start time.
