Islanders Baseball Team Prepares for Annual Blue/White World Series
The Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Baseball Team will hold its annual Blue/White Fall World Series starting Friday afternoon at Chapman Field as the players wrap-up practice for the semester.
The first game on Friday begins at 2:30 p.m., with the Saturday game starting at 11 a.m. and the final matchup on Sunday coming at 12 p.m. with admission free each day to all fans.
The team will be divided up into two evenly matched squads and will battle each other in a best-of-three format with a single game on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Last season, the Blue Team won the series 2-1 with an 8-7 victory in game three, scoring the decisive run in the bottom of the eighth and holding on in the top of the ninth for the series clincher.
The projected rotation for the teams has Adam Hoelscher facing off against Tim Keller of the Blue Team on Friday, Jake Dziubczynski and Trevor Belicek on Saturday while Weston Montgomery and Daniel Minor round out the weekend with starts on Sunday.
