2011 (JUNIOR): Was named the department’s Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year for his performance in the classroom … appeared in 22 games, with 13 starts, hitting .281 with three doubles, one home run and 16 RBI … hit a two-run single at Houston Baptist (3/1) … singled and scored a run against UT-Brownsville (3/22) … went 2-for-2 with two RBI against Texas - Pan American (4/12) … had a pinch-hit double against SFA (4/17) … hit an RBI double against Rice (4/20) … delivered a two-run homer in the win over UCA (4/30) … had three RBI in the series finale with the Bears (5/1) … went 2-for-5 with three RBI against Northwestern State (5/14) … delivered a bases-clearing double in the finale at SHSU (5/21).

2008 (REDSHIRT): Did not see any action and was redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Ryan Medrano at Hanks High School … hit nearly .400 as a senior with a pair of home runs and 35 doubles for the Knights … second-team all-district catcher as a senior as well as all-El Paso honorable mention … batted .380 his junior season with 25 doubles … lettered in football for two seasons … named District 1-5A Offensive MVP, all-state honorable mention, and all-city first team as a senior … named all-El Paso Offensive MVP and honorable mention all-state as a junior on the gridiron.
