IAF Casino Night Set for Saturday, Aug. 24

CORPUS CHRISTI – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Athletic Fund will host a Casino Night at the Dugan Wellness Center on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 6-10 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Islander Athletic Fund, which funds scholarships for the 250-plus student-athletes at the Island University.

“I’m really looking forward to our Casino Night, which should be a fun event for all our supporters,” Director of Athletics Scott Lazenby said. “Between the food, gaming and auctions, it’s going to be an entertaining evening, and I’m sure our IAF members will have a blast.”

Casino Night will feature a tasty dinner, casino games and both live and silent auctions throughout the evening. Some of the highlights of the auction include a football autographed by Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin, hunting and fishing trips and Houston Texans tickets. Islanders coaches and staff will also be on hand to interact with those in attendance.

Packages are available for as little as $75 for an individual, while group rates of 10 seats range from $600 at the “Black Jack” level all the way up to $2,500 at the “High Roller” level.
