On Sunday night, noted performance psychologist Dr. John Eliot spoke to coaches and athletes from the Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Athletic Department. Dr. Eliot talked to the assembled group in the Center for Instruction about his experiences in both collegiate and professional ranks.
Eliot has worked with many universities throughout his career, including being on staff at Rice when the Owls won their lone College World Series, as well as working at SMU and Houston. He has also consulted with Stanford and the Cardinal athletic department. In the professional ranks, he has spent time working with the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Astros.
