CORPUS CHRISTI – Former Houston Rockets and New York Knicks coach and current ESPN NBA analyst Jeff Van Gundy will be the featured speaker at the annual Islander Athletic Fund Golf Tournament and Banquet/Silent Auction, the Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Department of Athletics announced today. The banquet/silent auction will be held on Thursday, April 12, with the golf tournament to follow on Friday, April 13.

“This is always one of the most enjoyable nights of the year for Islanders Athletics, and with such a great guest speaker as Jeff Van Gundy, it will be even better,” Interim Director of Athletics Scott Lazenby said. “We always have a great crowd and raise money for a great cause – the funding of scholarships for our student-athletes. This year’s event should be no exception, and we hope all of our supporters throughout the Coastal Bend will join us for this special two-day event.”
