Basketball Tip-Off Luncheon Set for Nov. 1

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –  The third installment of the 2016-17 Islanders Monthly Luncheon Series presented by the Port of Corpus Christi will serve as the annual Islanders Basketball Tip-Off Luncheon and be held Nov. 1 at the Holiday Inn Downtown Marina (707 N. Shoreline Blvd.).
 
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Men's Basketball Head Coach Willis Wilson and Women's Basketball Head Coach Royce Chadwick will be on hand to preview their upcoming seasons.  A select student-athletes will also be in attendance to interact with fans.
 
The event will be a great opportunity for fans to get an inside look at this year's Islanders squads with the 2016-17 campaigns just around the corner.  Exhibition play at the Dugan Wellness Center is scheduled to start Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. for the men and Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. for the women.
 
Alan Harwell of KRIS-TV Sports will emcee the event, which will open for registration at 11:30 a.m.  The program is scheduled to run from noon-1 p.m.
