The Islander Athletic Fund hosts a number of events throughout the academic year for its members.
Islander Athletic Fund Monthly Luncheon Series
The Islander Athletic Fund is excited to once again establish its luncheon series, as fans are invited to join us monthly during the 2014-15 academic year. Guests at the luncheon will have the opportunity to get to know the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi coaching staff better as well as get insider information about the teams.
11:30 am – Registration & food lines
12:00-1:00 pm – Program
Luncheons will be held the first Tuesday of every month, and will be held on a rotating basis at Holiday Inn Downtown Marina, the Emerald Beach Hotel and the Bar-B-Q man. The first luncheon will be held on Sept. 2 at the Holiday Inn Downtown Marina, and will feature soccer coach Shanna Caldwell – in advance of her team’s game against Texas on Sept. 5 – and Director of Tennis Steve Moore.
Tickets for the luncheons will be available for $15 per person (covering the cost of the provided meal) and can be purchased in advance by calling (361) 825-BALL (2255). Fans wishing to attend the monthly luncheons can also pay at the door, but are asked to RSVP in advance due to the limited number of available seats.

Islander Athletic Fund Golf Tournament
The Islander Athletic Fund Golf Tournament is held every year during April at the Corpus Christi Country Club. Teams of four take part in a scramble that features fun games and unique interaction with Islanders student-athletes. The event also features a silent auction, lunch before the round, and a reception following the afternoon's activities.
Founded in 2013, Casino Night is an enjoyable fundraiser that allows Islander Athletic Fund supporters to get to know staff members better as well as interact with one another. In addition to all the casino games, the event features a dinner, silent auction and live auction to make for an enjoyable evening for all in attendance.
The 2014 Casino Night raised nearly $30,000 toward scholarships for the nearly 250 Islanders student-athletes at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Thomas Houck was the overall chip winner, taking home the trophy with a chip count of over 73,000 from the night’s gaming, narrowly edging Eric Hernandez. Donna Netek, Richard King and Jim Potts rounded out the top five winners on the evening.
