Sean Kelly has assumed the role of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Athletic Ticket Director and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Islander ticket office bringing over six years of athletic ticketing experience.
Kelly comes to the Islander athletic staff after spending the past two years with the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League. With the Coyotes, Kelly served as the ticket sales coordinator where he oversaw the game day sales staff and coordinated suite rentals for all Coyote games and special events at the Jobing.com Arena. Kelly also assisted with the coordination of all peripheral sales for special events among other duties.
The native of Chicago spent the two prior years with Oklahoma State of the Big 12. He began as a postgraduate intern in the ticket office left as an assistant ticket manager. In his final position with the Cowboys, he supervised a staff of 30 full-time and part-time employees overseeing the men's basketball ticket operations. Kelly assisted in the season ticket campaigns for various sports along with the processes of renewals and reseating.
Prior to OSU, Kelly worked in a variety of roles in the ticket and event management offices at Western Illinois while completing his graduate degree in sports management. There he was the main contact for all ticket operations associated with seven ticketed sports. Kelly helped to coordinate the game-day operations for all home events and had additional duties as the public address announcer for basketball, volleyball, softball and baseball.
A 2003 graduate of Quincy (Ill.) University with B.A. in media studies with an emphasis in sports communication. He was a member of the baseball team earning Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Academic and member of the QU Dean's List.
