Matt Brady joined the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Department of Athletics in 2010 as the Director of Media Relations and was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Media Relations in 2013.
He joined the Islanders after five years at Indiana University, where he was an Assistant Director of Media Relations. Brady graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. He received his Master of Arts in Sports Administration from Indiana University in December 2010.
After graduation, Brady spent time as a graduate assistant at Amherst College in Massachusetts and as a sports information intern at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.
He worked in the Athletics Department at Indiana University in Bloomington starting in 2006 until coming to the Island in November of 2010. The Hoosiers, who have been members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference since 1899, field teams in 10 men’s and 12 women’s sports and have accumulated 24 NCAA national championships, including five in men’s basketball. While at Indiana, Brady worked under former Islanders Director of Athletics Tim Fitzpatrick.
While at Indiana, Brady worked with the promotion and publicity efforts for the football, baseball and men’s basketball programs. He also assisted with numerous initiatives and projects related to the athletic department’s marketing, fundraising and ticket sales efforts. Additionally, he worked extensively to develop and maintain the department’s website, as well as its ongoing social media efforts with Facebook and Twitter.
Brady and his wife, Kerry, live in Corpus Christi with their daughter, C.J.
