Matt Brady is in his second year as Director of Athletic Media Relations at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi after serving as the assistant director of Athletics Media Relations at Indiana University.
Brady graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. He received his Master of Arts in Sports Administration from Indiana University in December 2010.
After graduation, Brady spent time as a graduate assistant at Amherst College in Massachusetts and as a sports information intern at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.
He worked in the Athletics Department at Indiana University in Bloomington starting in 2006 until coming to the Island in November of 2010. The Hoosiers, who have been members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference since 1899, field teams in 10 men’s and 12 women’s sports and have accumulated 24 NCAA national championships, including five in men’s basketball. While at Indiana, Brady worked with Tim Fitzpatrick who is now director of Athletics at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
While at Indiana, Brady worked with the promotion and publicity efforts for the football, baseball and men’s basketball programs. He also assisted with numerous initiatives and projects related to the athletic department’s marketing, fundraising and ticket sales efforts. Additionally, he worked extensively to develop and maintain the department’s website, as well as its ongoing social media efforts with Facebook and Twitter. In addition to calling radio play-by-play for the Hoosiers baseball games, Brady was associate editor of the Indiana Official Sports Report which had an e-mail circulation of 20,000 subscribers.
Brady and his wife, Kerry, live in Corpus Christi with their daughter, C.J.
